The following is an excerpt from the Sierra Vista Herald, our local paper, from August 21, 2010. If you want to see a real life example of how effective carrying a TASER can be, read on....
"The suspect hopped a 5-foot gate into the front yard of the neighbor’s house, where Wolf was waiting. Wolf made a grab for the suspect, who lost his footing and tumbled. The suspect quickly jumped up, and the chase was back on, but only briefly.
Wolf yelled out: “Stop! I’m going to use the Taser!” The suspect dropped to his belly under a tree and put his hands behind his back.
The suspect was put in handcuffs and quickly taken away.
Cpl. Armin Lewis said the suspect, a Mexican national, is a juvenile. His name has not yet been released.
The suspect was taken to the juvenile detention facility in Sierra Vista, Lewis said."
